Stockport Town make the trip to Pershall Park, with Eccleshall looking to put last week's disappointing performance at Litherland behind them as we look to make it three home wins in a row.
11th placed Town were 3-2 winners back on the August bank holiday in the reverse fixture and drew their last game with Blackpool ( 0-0 ), recent form reads P-6, W- 2, D-1, L-3, Ben Halfacre tops the scoring list with 19 from 30 appearances in all competitions.
So far Eccy have played 13 home league fixtures ( 8 to play ), W-5, D-3, L-5, four of the loses have come against sides in the top six, not a bad record and one that we want to improve on as Manager Dave Dale makes Pershall Park a difficult place to come to.
Looking ahead to the game Dave said" we lacked passion ( Litherland last week ) to compete and that's not acceptable, we went into the game on the back of two wins, but let ourselves down, it just wasn't good enough. The players are good enough to stay out of a relegation battle, but their application and attitude has to be better at times, we still want a mid table finish".
Midfielder, Callum Feeney, is back in the squad after his return from South Africa, where he's been with Stoke City's Community Trust, Dave added " Callum's a good player and if he says that he's okay after his long flight, then he will be with us".
Youth team player, Miles Johnson, who made an encouraging full debut at Litherland and then helped the Under 17's progress to the County Cup final with a 2-1 win at Brocton on Sunday will again be in contention for a place.
