Cheadle Town 3 Eccleshall FC 2

Eccleshall fell to their second defeat of the Bank Holiday weekend as they lost out to the new leaders of the Hallmark Security NWCFL Division One South, Cheadle Town.
Eccleshall manager Nick Farrington made four changes to team as Matt Quimby, Jordan Bennion, Shay Finney and Tom Wakefield came into the starting eleven, Liam Baker-Haynes and Bradley Carr were amongst the substitutes, whilst Reece Quinn, Lewis Dunn, Callum Thomas and Jake Standbridge were all unavailable.
Cheadle had the better of the opening exchanges as Eccleshall gave away too many free kicks away in dangerous areas, although keeper Matt Ellson wasn't called into action, at the other end Tom Wakefield had Eccy's best chance of the half but couldn't direct his header on target.
Town opened the scoring mid way through the first half, Rhys Webb was on hand as Ellson could only parry a header from a corner, although there was some suspicion of offside.

Eccleshall were back on level terms within a minute of the second half, Reece White steering Matt Quimby's cross in at the back post and it looked as though Eccy would take control of the game. Town however had other ideas and two strikes from distance on 53 and 72 mins appeared to ensure a home win.
To Eccleshall's credit they kept battling, looking for a way back into the game, Brad Carr and Dan Needham had shots off target, Louis Downs brought a fine save out of the home keeper and Callum Feeney looked to have been fouled in the box, only for the referee to wave away cries for a penalty.
Saki Ahmadi eventually pulled a goal back in injury time after good work by Downs, but it was too little too late.
