Eccleshall start their pre-season with a game against Nantwich Town

Tomorrow evening sees Eccleshall take on Evo-Stick Norther Premier League Premier Division outfit Nantwich Town in Eccleshall's first pre-season game of the season. This is the first chance fans will get to experience some of the new signings at Eccleshall, something everyone at the club is excited for.

Joint manager Paul Snape has thanked Nantwich for the game, and his eyes set on the season ahead. " I Would like say a massive thanks to both Nantwich for accepting the game and also the club for getting everything behind the scenes sorted for the night.

"Tomorrow's game will be very interesting for a number of reasons. We have gone through a full rebuilding process so it will be exciting to see what we have put together. We have been working hard off the field to improve."

Snape also spoke about using the game to see how players will respond to the new coaching methods, and what he wants from the match.

" We are taking a squad of 22 to look at some players who we haven't had the chance to look at and also some combinations that we have seen in training. Overall I am really pleased and happy with the progress so far and really looking forward for the future of Eccleshall FC."

Peter Griffiths, Snape's co-manager also thanked Nantwich and is looking ahead to the forthcoming campaign. "I would like to thank Nantwich for coming down to Eccleshall, and I am really looking forward to see how our young side do this season"

Eccleshall Eagles will be mascots for the game tomorrow, and there will also be a penalty shoot-out for half time entertainment.

Kick-off is at 7.45pm tomorrow evening, and it is forecast to rain, so make sure you wrap up warm, and even get yourself a cup of tea at the game to keep you from the cold.

Make sure you get down to Pershall Park to cheer on the lads, and hopefully witness the start of a fruitful season.
