Following the League Management Committee's decision to cancel next Wednesday's programmed league match against Cammell Laird 1907 at Pershall Park, the club have moved swiftly to arrange a midweek friendly against Total Motion Midland League Division One team Rocester at Pershall Park on Tuesday 19. February (7.45pm). The recent cancellation meant that Eccleshall had a three week gap between the last league game away at Rylands on 2. February and the next programmed match against Vauxhall Motors at Pershall Park on Saturday 23. February (3.00pm).
Club Secretary, Jim Tunney, said: "With the league match being postponed, our management team were keen to get some game time in before meeting high flying Vauxhall Motors on the 23. February. Rocester did not have a match on that date and we are grateful to them for agreeing to the midweek friendly which should be beneficial for both sides".
Bar and refreshments will be available on the evening and reduced first team admission charges of £3.00 and £2.00 (concessions) will apply.
Jim Tunney added: "It should be a good, competitive match involving two local sides and will, hopefully, attract a number of supporters from both".
