After one of the most successful seasons across the board for Eccleshall Football Club in 2025/26, another award came our way at the Staffordshire County Senior League Annual General Meeting this week. Reserves Secretary, Rori Thomas, was named as the Division One Secretary of the Year by the League and was presented with a Certificate of Appreciation to highlight the contribution she had made to the team's success.

Whilst club success is always measured by players and management on the field, the unseen and important contributions made by people behind the scenes who help the club to operate in a variety of ways can often be forgotten and unrecognised.

Clear, prompt and accurate administration is vitally important to the running of both a club and the team. Rori is a relative newcomer to the Stoke Signage Stadium but her contribution to the Reserves team success cannot be underestimated. Her enthusiasm is endless and she has now also taken on the role of media officer at the club.

Everyone at Eccleshall FC is delighted at the League recognition she has received for her efforts - many congratulations, Rori!
