Club Statement: Chairman Transition at Eccleshall Football Club

Eccleshall Football Club wishes to inform all members, volunteers, players and supporters of an important change within the club’s leadership.

After careful consideration, Neil Washington has stepped down from his role as Chairman.

Neil has dedicated 21 years to Eccleshall FC including 11 years as Chairman and 2 years as Vice Chairman during which time the club has seen significant improvements, including the development of the kitchen, toilets, car park, stands and floodlights. His commitment, hard work and personal investment have played a major part in moving the club forward.

Neil will remain involved as a Director of the club, continue as a committee member, and will still support the club with day‑to‑day operations and on match days.

Nick Locke, well‑known across local football for over 15 years, has been appointed Chairman of Eccleshall Football Club. His last eight years at Telford Town (Wellington Amateurs), including a season as Vice Chairman, giving him valuable leadership experience and continuity as he steps into the role.

We thank Neil sincerely for his many years of service, leadership and dedication, and we look forward to working with Nick as we continue to move the club forward together.
