Eccleshall FC U11 Saturdays MJPL, what are they up to?

Rori Thomas1 Mar - 14:55

Our youngest side to play under the Eccleshall name, a great side under a strong management team.

Eccleshall U11s, are the youngest team to represent our club, with multiple positive aspects and always great feedback from other teams.

Some words from Manager, Dan Chell:

“Our under 11s joined Eccleshall at the start of the 24/25 season and since this time we have enjoyed watching their development. They are a talented team with some outstanding young footballers playing at the highest level of grassroots football. During the preseason they entered and won numerous tournaments to end a successful first year with the Eagles. The pre season was one of a transition as the team moved from seven-a-side to nine-a-side requiring some recruitment for additional players. The young Eagles successfully added quality to their ranks bringing in five new additions adding to the eight players remaining from the previous season. As the season began the team had a major setback when two of our players were ruled out for a number of weeks with significant injuries. Following a difficult start, once a full squad was available the young Eagles went from strength to strength. As they started their journey in the MJPL trophy they truly came to form. They navigated successfully through the rounds with wins against Paget Rangers 4-1, Sandwell Falcons 1-0 before facing Newcastle Town in the Semi finals winning the match on penalties. The young Eagles travel to Coleshill FC on Saturday 25th April, at 11:30pm where they will face Holyfields FC in what will be an enthralling encounter. At this age the focus is on development and the management has seen his players improve week on week and has had a number of his players scouted by professional clubs. All at Eccleshall look forward to the final where we hope to see the young eagles bring home more silverware for our trophy cabinet.”

Another major positive for the U11s, they will be travelling to Munich over Easter to play in the Munich Cup in which will test their skills against teams across the world.

The squad currently consists of 13 players:

Natan Szczesny(GK),
Bobby Moorhouse,

Eli Richens,
