NEW MANAGER AT ECCLESHALL

NEW MANAGER AT ECCLESHALL

Jim Tunney31 Oct 2020 - 21:37

Dave Dale takes over at Pershall Park

Following the departure of Eagles manager Adam Proudlock after the heavy defeat to Stockport Town at Pershall Park on Wednesday evening, the club have moved quickly to appoint a replacement. Dave Dale, who was previously at Newcastle Town and has also managed Eccleshall in the past, has re-joined the club and was at today's match at Alsager Town to watch his new team in action.

Dave's vast experience at North West Counties League level and higher, together with an extensive knowledge of the local football scene, will prove invaluable for the Eagles who have made a poor start to their league campaign, picking up only one point from their four games to date after the delayed start to the season.

Dave met with club Chairman, Neil Washington, and Secretary Jim Tunney yesterday and, after a positive discussion, agreed to taking on the managerial role at the club. He is looking forward to the challenge of turning around a team which currently lies in one of the two relegation spots in First Division South.

Coach Jake Robinson, who took charge of the team at Alsager today, will remain as part of Dave's backroom team and his first match in charge will be at Pershall Park on Wednesday evening when the Eagles host New Mills.

Everyone at Pershall Park offers Dave a warm welcome and wishes him well on his return to the club.
