Saturday U15s MJPL, how is their season so far?

Rori Thomas22 Mar - 10:00

Aiming for a top 20 finish out of 85 league teams.

A team that originally formed under Stafford Rangers at the age group of U7s, to being on the Eccleshall banner for the 2023-2024 season with the core squad who joined the Stafford Rangers side at so young.

Despite a successful season last year, this season deemed a tough challenge with players leaving over the pre-season. With that being said, the U15S have been fortunate to bring in some quality players who have gone on to strengthen the team, ultimately paying off which can be seen with their current run of results.

Manager Dave Price has coached the team from the original U7s team but over the course of the latest season, he has took over the reigns with the help from his coaching staff Ominira “Shata” Riley and Lee Howells.

After a slow start to the season, the lads have really found their feet. They’ve gone from Mid-October to Mid-February unbeaten in a run of eight games, which unfortunately came to an end in a semi-final that the team put their all into.

With all that being said, they are still going strong in the league aiming for a top 20 finish out of the 85 league teams, which would be an unbelievable achievement for the squad.
